Edit the hosts file of Windows 10 with BlueLifeHosts

Here’s a way to easily manage the entry in the hosts file of Windows

All developers change multiple times per day for entries in the hosts file of Windows.

For those not in the know, the hosts file contains information that the computer uses to identify the physical addresses of network machines (internet sites) that we are going to interrogate. They are characterized by an IP address (that is, in fact, the physical address of the machine) followed by the name of the domain (example: www.google.it) that should coincide with the IP address previously written.

To what do you need to change the entry in the hosts file?

When you type an internet address (such as www.google.com or www.facebook.com the computer contacts a network service (DNS, Domain Name System) that serves to track the IP address associated with that domain. It may happen, however, want to direct that domain on your computer, locally. For example, type www.apple.it and open the page that you have set up with WAMP on your own computer.

To do this you can open the hosts file directly to the location C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc even with Notepad++ in administrator mode, or by using BlueLifeHosts editor in guided mode.

This program, in fact, it follows the user in editing the hosts file by reducing the risk of committing some error that is likely to cause a future malfunction in the resolution of the addresses.
